1. Prepare the peanut butter mixture. In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix with your hands until the ingredients are fully incorporated and form a smooth dough. 2. Shape the balls. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on wax paper- lined sheets. Refrigerate the balls for 1 hour to firm up. 3. Melt the chocolate. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips. Stir in the heavy cream until smooth and glossy. Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly before dipping. 4. Dip the balls. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Place the coated balls back onto the wax paper-lined sheets. 5. Store. Refrigerate the chocolate-coated peanut butter balls until the chocolate is set. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
