KENTUCKY PHYSICIAN
Dear Colleagues,
The Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure requires all physicians maintaining a current license to complete sixty (60) credit hours of continuing medical education (CME) during the three (3) year CME cycle, of which at least thirty (30) credit hours shall be AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. The current CME cycle ends December 31, 2026. Additionally, physicians who are authorized to prescribe or dispense controlled substances are required to complete four and one-half (4.5) credit hours of CME relating to the use of KASPER, pain management, addiction disorders or a combination of two or more of these content areas.
Need to complete the DEA’s new requirement under the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act?
InforMed has the solution. Scan the QR code or go to https://uqr.to/deamate to get started. Effective June 27, 2023, renewing DEA-registered practitioners must complete 8 credit hours of one-time training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or substance use disorders. Get the training you need in a self-paced, convenient format with a course specifically designed for physicians to meet the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)’s new requirement under the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act.
The InforMed Kentucky Medical Licensure Program is designed to fulfill these mandatory CME requirements for medical professionals in Kentucky, as well as earning points for MOC and MIPS. Completion of the program satisfies six (6) credit hours on the mandatory requirement for prescribers of controlled substances as well as ten (10) elective hours on neck pain in adults.
Thank you for choosing lnforMed as your CME provider. We strive to create a high-quality, streamlined program for our colleagues. Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
