Figure 8: Round Face Curly Hairstyle
Round face (Figure 8): When styling round faces, the illusion of a decrease in roundness and length is necessary. Cascading layers and soft curls assist in framing the face and creating a slimmer look. Side-sweeping bangs and long curls create the effects required to enhance round facial shapes (Swamy, 2024).
Figure 9: Square Face Curly Hairstyle
Square face (Figure 9): Square faces have solid foreheads and jawlines. A hairstyle is needed to soften these robust facial features. A hairstyle with soft waves, side parts, and long curls helps create width in the cheek areas, establish more facial dynamics, and soften the strong jawline.
Figure 10: Triangle Face Curly Hairstyle
Triangle face (Figure 10): Triangle-shaped faces fit perfectly with textured cuts. Hairstyles that suit this facial type include curly pixie cuts, short and medium-length bobs, and lengthy curly styles, with most of the hair pulled up and the rest loose. These styles create balance in the face, emphasize cheekbones, and create bold looks by highlighting the delicate features of a triangled face.
Figure 11: Diamond Face Curly Hairstyle
Diamond face (Figure 11): A diamond face narrows near the jawline and chin. Like the round face, side-sweeping hairstyles help frame the face, minimize features, and emphasize the cheekbones. Styles perfect for diamond faces include side-sweeping curls, layered bobs, and styles with voluminous curls (Swamy, 2024).

It is essential for the stylist to confidently communicate intellectual responses and advice on styles to complement the client’s natural features, hair texture, and lifestyle. The stylist should be honest with the client about what styles they believe best suit the client. This helps to avoid dissatisfaction with styling results. After this process, the stylist performs the cut to create the chosen hairstyle (Quidad, 2022).
After acknowledging the client’s hair type and facial features, the hairstyle may be chosen. An interview or conversation with the client is essential in choosing a hairstyle (Quidad, 2022). During the interview, the stylist must gain a clear understanding of the client’s wishes. The process consists of the client communicating the desired length and style. It is wise for the client to have several photos of curly hairstyles to communicate the desired style clearly. Furthermore, the stylist repeats their understanding of the client’s wishes. The stylist uses the photos to suggest which style suits the client’s hair type and facial features.
