THIS COURSE MEETS YOUR LAWS AND RULES REQUIREMENT Chapter 2: New Jersey Law Review for Massage Professionals, Updates (Mandatory) [1 CE hour] This comprehensive course is designed to provide New Jersey massage professionals with a thorough understanding of the laws and regulations governing their practice. Participants will explore key legal aspects relevant to the massage therapy profession in New Jersey, ensuring compliance with state regulations and promoting ethical practice. Participants will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the legal landscape of massage therapy practice in New Jersey confidently. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the tools to ensure legal compliance, uphold ethical standards, and provide safe, effective, and professional massage therapy services. Chapter 3: Therapeutic Massage and the Stress Epidemic [1 CE hour] The purpose of this course is to discuss the positive role professional therapeutic massage can play in the stress epidemic in our modern culture. We will examine the negative physiological and biochemical processes that occur in the body under stress and counteract them with the beneficial processes that occur in the body during massage. We will also look at the cultural symptoms that contribute to our collective stress and discuss the statistics that qualify stress as a national epidemic. Chapter 4: Understanding Plantar Fasciitis: A Multidisciplinary Approach [2 CE hours] The purpose of this course is to identify what plantar fasciitis is and what methods we can use to treat it in our clients. We will examine the anatomy of the plantar fascia, its role in the movement of the foot and ankle, and what happens when it becomes inflamed. We will also examine techniques that can be used to treat it when our clients present with either acute or chronic plantar fasciitis, as well as some self-care tools they can use at home.
