As a condition of license renewal, physicians (MD/DO) with an active DEA registration and a New Mexico controlled substances registration must complete five (5) hours of continuing medical education related to pain management/controlled substances. These hours may be earned anytime during the three-year period immediately preceding the renewal date.

The InforMed New Mexico Medical Licensure Program is designed to fulfill this legislative CME requirement for physicians in New Mexico.
