CME REQUIREMENT ON OPIOIDS

Dear Colleagues,

The InforMed Indiana Professional Licensure Program is designed to fulfill this mandatory CME requirement for healthcare professionals in Indiana. Completion of our board-approved course satisfies the two (2) credit hour requirement on opioid prescribing and opioid abuse as well as eight (8) credit hours of the DEA’s one-time MATE requirement. Pursuant to Indiana Code (IC 35-48-3-3.5), a licensed healthcare practitioner who applies for registration or reregistration for controlled substances must have completed two (2) credit hours of continuing education during the previous two (2) years addressing the topic of opioid prescribing and opioid abuse. The required continuing education course must be approved by the board or offered by an approved organization. The board recognizes InforMed as an approved organization.
