Faculty Brijesh Chandwani, BDS, DMD, FOP , received his doctorate of dental medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where he also served in a fellowship on orofacial pain and temporomandibular joint disorders. In addition to his private practice focusing on management of temporomandibular joint disorders and sleep apnea, Dr. Chandwani is an Attending Dentist at the St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx where he supervises and educates different aspects of Orofacial Pain for the GPR
and Dental Anesthesia Residents. Previously, he taught at Tufts University School of Medicine, starting as an instructor before serving as an assistant professor and clinical assistant professor. Dr. Chandwani has co-authored studies on the effect of smoking on pain sensitivity in patients with temporomandibular joint disorder and on smoking cessation in the dental setting.
